Anderson Creek Lodge offers you many ways to enjoy and explore the outdoors! The lodge is surrounded by gardens, trees and fields. We have over 35 acres of llama fields and walking trails. The photo above shows Mt. Baker as seen from one of our walking trails. On the northwest edge of the property, you'll find part of the proposed Bay to Baker trail. The eastern boundary has a trail that follows Anderson Creek as it flows from the nearby mountains into the Nooksack river. Other trails lead to the llama fields where you can visit our friendly and curious llamas. Plus, we are close to an amazing variety of fun-filled activities!
Llamas
We have over a dozen llamas in seven fields on our property. Llamas are friendly and fascinating animals with many unique features. Trails and grassy areas around all the llama fields give you easy access to see what the llamas are doing. They'll be just as curious about you as you are about them!
Hot Tub
If you want to enjoy the outdoors without walking around, bring your bathing suit and settle into our hot tub on the upper deck. You'll enjoy a soothing jetted water massage while looking out at the forest, north garden and the llama field that is home to our lady llamas.
"Happy Spots"
Discover a variety of sitting areas or "happy spots" as we like to call them. Sit on the bench next to the green house and watch the vegetables growing or walk out near the llamas and look for a bald eagle, blue heron or Canadian goose gliding over the llama fields or Sumas mountain. You can also find more places to sit on the patio, deck, front lawn, north garden or in the woods and along the trails.
World Class Vacation Area
We are also close to many of the outdoor activities that have made Whatcom county famous as one of the best places to vacation, including: skiing, snow boarding, hiking and mountain biking at Mt. Baker; eagle watching on the Nooksack river; mountain biking at Galbraith mountain; kayaking and river rafting on the Nooksack river.
